How is my score calculated?

Each completed structure earns 80 points plus an attempt bonus, up to 100 per round and 600 overall. The first attempt adds 20 points, the second adds 10, and later attempts have no bonus. The control-time references for rounds 1–6 are 18, 24, 30, 38, 48 and 60 seconds. Every five seconds beyond the reference costs one point, capped at 20. Required falling and settling time is excluded from speed evaluation; actual round time is shown separately. Skipped rounds score zero.

Frequently asked questions

How do the three modes differ?

Stack Higher raises the gold block above a height line. Bridge the Gap connects two supports and places gold in the middle target. Reach Out extends a structure beyond a single support. Every mode uses all supplied blocks and requires the entire gold block to be inside the target zone.

Can I move a block after dropping it?

Before dropping, adjust the horizontal position and rotate in 90-degree steps. After dropping, wait for the block to settle. You cannot grab or rotate a placed block. Blocks share the same material, gravity and friction; larger blocks weigh more.

What counts as success or failure?

Success requires every block to form one supported structure, with the entire gold block inside its target and stable for three seconds. Falling blocks, unmet goals or a structure that does not settle count as one failed attempt, then you can rebuild. Several blocks falling together are not counted separately. There is no time limit or overall elimination; difficult rounds can be skipped for zero points.

How do rebuilding and restarting differ?

Rebuild this puzzle keeps the same blocks, supports, time and failed attempts. You can rebuild before a collapse after confirmation; abandoning a started structure counts as one failed attempt. An already failed attempt is not counted twice. Restart this round switches only the current puzzle to another at the same stage and zero time, retaining earlier failures. Completed and future rounds stay unchanged.

What changes in later rounds?

The six rounds use 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 blocks. Later structures require lateral support, deliberate counterweight placement and rotation choices. Connect separate supports with several beams or balance an outward upper level. Each mode and stage has a varied puzzle pool, so fresh sets can offer different structures. There is no daily restriction.

Can I pause and continue?

Pausing or leaving the window freezes the clock and block movement and covers the board. Resume to continue your preserved structure. Time does not run between rounds. Progress can be restored when this browser permits storage.

What about same-set practice and personal bests?

Mode-specific personal bests compare totals across six fresh puzzles. Same-set and invited games retain their original mode and count as practice, excluded from bests. Choose a result-screen mode and Play again for six fresh puzzles. Bests are preserved separately from the latest 200 games, in this browser only.

How are titles chosen?

Titles use total points, completed structures and failed attempts. Master of Balance requires at least 590 total points, at least 96 in every round, all six structures completed and no failed attempts. Stable completion matters more than rushing. Personal bests are compared separately for each mode.
