Frequently asked questions

How does the difficulty increase?

Round 1 uses 4×4, rounds 2–4 use 5×5, and rounds 5–6 use 5×6. More open squares and route choices ask you to plan how to visit the remaining regions. All three modes use the same six difficulty bands; only the time limit changes.

When does the challenge clock run?

Time runs from pressing Solve this puzzle until you complete that path. It stops on ready and round-complete screens. During a timed puzzle it keeps running in another tab or on the start screen, and reloads count when you resume. Calm mode and continued practice can pause.

How do I connect the path?

Move up, down, left or right from the start. Visit every open square once and end at the finish marker. Skip holes and diagonal moves. You can lift your finger and continue. Undo and redraw have no extra penalty; solving time keeps running.

Will every game have different puzzles?

Every new game selects fresh puzzles from each difficulty band. Rotations and reflections count as the same structure in recent-puzzle history. Play whenever you like; there is no daily schedule. Clearing browser data also clears that history. Choose Replay to try the same set again.

What is different about 120 and 90 seconds?

The difficulty is the same; the total time for six puzzles changes. Try 120 seconds to finish the six puzzles, then 90 seconds for a faster challenge. A hint adds 15 seconds to your final time and reduces your remaining time once. When time runs out, the challenge ends, but you can finish the remaining puzzles as practice.

What does a hint show?

Once per round, a hint shows up to two next squares or a point to backtrack to. Redrawing does not reset used hints or time. Hints are unavailable with 15 seconds or less remaining in a challenge. The result and share image show how many hints you used.

How are titles chosen?

After all six puzzles are complete, your final time including hint penalties determines your title. Read from the top: the first matching row wins. No-hint finishes and challenge finishes get separate labels. An unfinished challenge does not receive a completion title.

Title Final time
A Flash of Connection 60 sec or less
A Swiftly Found Path 90 sec or less
A Path in Flow 150 sec or less
A Steady Connection 240 sec or less
A Path Seen Through Over 240 sec

The same final time earns the same title. These are game criteria, not population rankings or an ability assessment.
